What is VoteAlert?
VoteAlert is a service where the Tasmanian Electoral Commission can send you a friendly reminder when you need to vote.
If you sign up to this service you will receive reminder SMS messages for the following elections:
- Tasmanian State elections (House of Assembly)
- Tasmanian Legislative Council elections
- Federal elections, and
- local government elections.
How many messages will I receive?
Electors registered for VoteAlert will receive up to three messages over the election period. Reminder messages will only be sent to registered electors listed on the roll for that election.
This is only an informal reminder service. Please don’t wait for an SMS message if you know you will have to vote at an election. Call 1800 801 701 if you are unsure if you are on the roll for an election.
