Don’t delay, late votes can’t be counted. Failure to vote may incur a fine.
Follow these five easy steps:
Candidates were invited to provide a statement and photo for your consideration. Statements are reproduced here as provided by the candidate.
Statements appear in alphabetical order but the order of names on ballot papers is rotated.
Number the boxes on each ballot paper from 1 onwards in the order of your choice.
For the election of 9 councillors, number the boxes from 1 to 22 in order of your choice. Number at least 5 boxes to make your vote count.
For the election of mayor, number the boxes from 1 to 4 in order of your choice. Number at least one box to make your vote count.
For the election of deputy mayor, number the boxes from 1 to 7 in the order of your choice. Number at least one box to make your vote count.
Put your completed ballot papers in the ballot paper envelope, which is the smaller envelope with the wider flap, and seal it securely.
Sign your ballot paper envelope in the box on the flap to declare that you are the voter named on this envelope and you have voted on the ballot papers in this envelope. You must sign the envelope and leave the flap attached — or your vote won’t be counted. The returning officer will remove the flap with your details on it before opening the envelope.
Then put your ballot paper envelope in the reply-paid envelope — the larger envelope — and seal it.
Post your reply paid envelope straight away (no stamp needed), or take your vote to the Kingborough Council office.

Kingborough has always been my home, I’m a working mum and wife who values respect, accountability, integrity and kindness. I listen, communicate clearly, and follow through. I’m focused on practical outcomes to drive Kingborough forward. I’m experienced in community engagement, evidence-based decision making, practical problem-solving. I work in process creation, governance and communication. I’m independent, self-funded with no political affiliation. Vote for a positive change to create a Council and community that is connected, future focused, and able to grow. facebook.com/tamieka4council

Four years of turning up. Not just at election time. I am the councillor people call when the bureaucracy gets in the way, and the only one who voted against this year's rate rise and record deficit. As Mayor I will lead the push to fix four things. Landowners are our bushfire front line: back them to clear fuel on their own land. Rebuild planning around its customers and end excessive information demands. 19 budget deficits in 22 years. Enough. Get ahead of road maintenance instead of chasing it. Rural or suburban, Channel or island: no more great divide. Everything at aldo4kingborough.com

Vote 1 Teisha Archer for Councillor and Deputy Mayor. As an independent candidate, Bruny resident, mother of four, business owner and community advocate, I am committed to bringing a ‘people-first’ approach to Kingborough Council. With expert governance and social impact qualifications, I will advocate for transparent planning decisions, essential infrastructure, and fairer community consultation. I am focussed on fixing council processes, championing sustainability, and rebuilding trust right across our municipality, from Taroona to Bruny. Learn more here: www.facebook.com/teisha4council

Following 4 years on Council, I want to continue working to make Kingborough - where I live with my wife & two young children - a more connected, liveable and thriving community. I’ll continue advocating for quality parks, roads, paths, public spaces, sporting facilities & community clubs, while supporting responsible financial management to keep rate rises as low as possible. Building on Council’s recent reviews, I’ll also focus on recommendations to improve planning, capital works & digital services to deliver more efficient processes, better customer service & greater value for ratepayers.

I’m Nick Booth, a lifelong Kingborough resident, local business owner and community advocate. With more than 25 years in construction and business, I bring practical experience to projects, people, budgets and safety. As an active member of several community groups, I have worked for safer roads, better facilities and fairer planning. I'm standing as an independent for responsible spending, transparent decisions, better planning and genuine community consultation. Council is not a political stepping stone for me. I will listen, ask the hard questions and put the Kingborough community first.

I’m a local, family man and volunteer firefighter who has lived in Kingborough for over 45 years. I’ve raised my family here and watched our community grow. I will fight for property owners to have greater ability to prepare for bushfires and protect their homes and families. As a firefighter, I see first-hand why this matters. I will challenge unnecessary Council spending and rising costs, ensuring ratepayers get better value for money. I’m not a career politician. I’m a local who will speak honestly, ask the hard questions and stand up for our community. Fix what matters. Fund what counts.

As a two-term Greens Councillor, I’m running for Councillor & Mayor. I’ll champion a swimming pool & wellness hub at the Sports Precinct for learn-to-swim, rehab & fitness. For every pool visit, we’ll get back $30 in health & wellbeing benefits. I’ll deliver a Street Tree Strategy so subdivisions have beautiful, tree-lined streets. I’m Executive Director of UpScale Solutions, employing 13 staff, and President of Gymnastics Tasmania. I’m undertaking a Master of Planning. My values are integrity, compassion & action. For a safer, healthier & better-planned Kingborough, vote Greens.

I grew up in Kingborough and I live with my partner and young son in Taroona. Since being elected in 2022, I’ve worked hard to deliver practical outcomes for our community. I’ve strongly advocated for residents and community groups, secured our first housing strategy, backed local sports clubs with fairer fees, ensured family‑friendly amenities in our parks, and supported major investment projects. If re‑elected, I’ll continue to focus on families, quality infrastructure, investment, responsible finances, and simpler planning. I ask for your vote to keep working for Kingborough’s future.

As your Greens candidate, I am already working to build a connected, sustainable community where everyone has a voice. For the last four years I have been highly active in transport and planning advocacy, focusing on active transport options. I recognise the value of local social connections and have worked to bring people together, including founding the Huntingfield Landcare group. Every day people need a stronger voice in local government. I will listen, advocate and amplify the voices of our community. Vote Green to make active transport and connected, livable neighbourhoods a priority.

Councillor Flora Fox has 38 years of experience as Kingborough’s longest serving Councillor and former Deputy Mayor. My long-term vision has helped make Kingborough the place where we want to live. I work with the community, Councillors and staff to achieve the best services, infrastructure and facilities we can afford. Together we all help make Kingborough a wonderful place to live. For years, I’ve served Kingborough through Kingston Neighbourhood House, Rotary, Neighbourhood Watch, Kingborough Family Church and A Day at the Park. Working alongside residents has shown me the strength of our community, and how much better Council must do. People aren’t asking for miracles. They want safe streets, potholes fixed, projects delivered properly, faster planning decisions, rates spent wisely, and beaches we can actually swim in. Vote 1 Boyden Hingston-Muir for Deputy Mayor and Councillor.

I grew up in the Channel and call Kingborough home. I’m standing because I believe our community wants fresh voices, genuine engagement, and sensible, future-focused planning that protects what makes this place special. As a small business owner, architect and lifelong community sport participant, I bring practical experience, listening skills and strategic thinking. I’ll advocate for connected communities, represent both rural and metropolitan areas, support local asset renewal, grassroots sport and community groups, and put community voices at the centre of Council decisions.

I live in Margate and I’m proud to be a local Greens candidate. I’ve worked in health and community all my life, advocating for homeless people, people with disability, women fleeing violence and people needing end-of-life care. My moto is: first, do no harm, second say yes! Let's make things better. As a woman and mother, I’m passionate about the future world we are making for our kids. As a Greens candidate, I’ll focus on a clean, safe environment, sustainable, well-regulated industries, and a planning scheme that meets housing needs without sacrificing our environment and wildlife.

I’m a mum, carer, ex-army reserve medic, hospital cleaner, graduate research student and Blackmans Bay resident. I want to hear the opinions of the silent majority, not just the loudest voices in the room. We need to re-develop committees and advisory bodies that connect community to council. I’ll advocate for a council that puts as much into Australian culture as any other, including the reinstatement of the Australia Day Awards and female/male toilets, removed without community consultation. We need sensible discussions about public safety and graffiti management. Together, we can do better

I’m proud to stand as a Greens candidate for Kingborough Council. Originally from India, I’ve lived and worked around the world, but Kingston has been home for eight years. With a law degree, an MBA in hospitality and tourism, and a Diploma of Sustainable Living from UTAS, I bring practical experience and diverse perspectives. I’ll listen, act and stand up for what matters—affordable housing, greener neighbourhoods, safer paths, healthy waterways, wildlife protection and strong climate action.

Kingborough Council needs change: practical thinking, better financial management, a focus on the basics, and real respect for ratepayers. I listen to locals, work hard, follow up and get results, and if elected I'll drive the change we need. Independent, self-funded, never a party member, not on any ticket. A Howden local and father of two, I own a freight logistics business with 45+ staff and manage forestry/carbon projects across Tasmania, experience I'll put to work for Council. For a real choice and a strong voice for all of Kingborough, Vote 1 Will Perry. https://willperrykingborough.com

I am standing for Kingborough Council and Deputy Mayor because I believe our community deserves a functional, collaborative Council, not one consumed by conflict. My background is in small business, where I have built collaborative teams and delivered results. In business, recurring operating deficits are not sustainable, so why do we accept them in local government? I stand for accountability, positive collaboration, responsible rates, safer roads, and delivering the services our community expects.

I’ve lived in Kingborough most of my life. I’m a café owner, mum of two and singer. With 20 years in billing and contracts I know how to read the numbers, ask questions and make decisions. I’m independent, self-funded and have never been a member of a political party. I won’t promise what I can’t fund. Residents deserve to be heard before decisions are made. I’ll consider their views and the evidence, then tell you what I decide and why. I’ll stand for transparency, consistent planning rules and rates residents can justify. As Mayor, I’ll be full-time and accessible. Linktr.ee/kimphillipskc

15 years running a local trade business gave me a builder's eye on Council. I backed the leadership overhaul cutting red tape in planning, and I'll keep pushing for faster permits and better service on the ground. I've pushed back hard to stop Council overreaching on LCZ rezoning, will keep fighting to hold rate rises down through internal efficiency despite budget challenges, and back economic growth like the AFL and Jack Jumpers high performance centres. Real experience, financial discipline, a clear focus on value for ratepayers, family friendly lifestyle, and results you can see and feel.

Common sense. Careful spending. Getting the basics right. Since May, I have served as Acting Mayor of Kingborough, building on years of experience as a Councillor. I bring a practical approach shaped by public service, my professional career as a lawyer and everyday life as a local resident and parent. I support keeping rates as low as possible, sensible development, strong core services and investment in the infrastructure our community needs. I will continue to approach decisions independently, respectfully and with a clear focus on Kingborough’s long-term interests.

I’m 21 years old and I’ve lived in Kingborough my whole life. I’m standing to be a positive, practical and progressive voice on Council, working on better outcomes for all generations, but especially young people facing limited local services, opportunities and housing. On housing, I support making it easier to build, prioritising families over investors, less restrictive zoning, and higher rates on vacant land & AirBnBs. I support investing in safe spaces and services for local youth. I want more engagement in democracy, and have no time for bullying, snack scandals or culture wars.

I’ve called Kingborough home for 26 years and am raising my 4 children here. With qualifications in business and economics, experience in financial management and as a former Deputy Mayor, I bring practical leadership that delivers results. I’ll work hard, listen and represent you independently to ensure Kingborough continues to grow without losing what makes it a special place to live. My priorities are affordable rates, simpler planning, infrastructure that keeps pace with growth, opportunities for young people, connected tracks and trails, healthy waterways and beaches. jowestwood.com.au
