 Tasman council vacancy

Six candidates nominated for seven councillor positions on Tasman Council by the original close of nominations at 12 noon on Monday 21 September. All six were elected unopposed.

In accordance with section 274(3) of the Local Government Act 1993, nominations were reopened for the remaining councillor vacancy. By the close of nominations at 12 noon on Monday 28 September 2026, eight candidates had nominated for the one remaining position.

Tasman electors are voting for the remaining councillor position and for mayor and deputy mayor.
