Other elections

In addition to conducting state parliamentary and local government elections, the Tasmanian Electoral Commission provides electoral services for a range of statutory bodies, community organisations and commercial groups.

Statutory elections are those the Commission is required by law to conduct for specific statutory bodies.

Under the Electoral Act 2004, the Commission may also conduct non-statutory elections and electoral services for organisations and groups, which are not otherwise required by law to be run by the TEC.
