Voting early at a pre-poll centre

Early voting (pre-poll) is available for voters who cannot attend a polling place on polling day.

Centres will open at selected locations in Huon and Rosevears from Monday 13 April 2026. Opening hours are 8:30 am until 5:30 pm weekdays and until 6 pm on Friday 1 May.

How to vote early

  1. You attend the pre-poll centre.
  2. You declare you are unable to attend a polling place on polling day.
  3. You record your vote and place it in the ballot box.

You can vote at any one of the locations listed below - ballot papers for both divisions are available at each polling place.

A quiet voting hour for voters with sensory needs is available at all pre-poll locations from 10 am to 11 am daily. More detailed information about wheelchair accessibility is available.

Important information

There are no overseas or interstate pre-poll locations for these elections.

The TEC's North Hobart office, and election offices in Cambridge and Invermay are not pre-poll locations and cannot receive votes.
