Local government elections in Tasmania are conducted by postal ballot and voting is compulsory.
Polling closed at 2 pm Monday 31 March 2025.
Ballot packs were scheduled to be delivered to electors by Australia Post between Tuesday 11 and Friday 14 March.
If you haven't received your ballot pack, follow this procedure
Applications for a supplementary pack to be sent by post closed 4 pm Wednesday 26 March. You can still visit your council to collect a new pack before the close of poll at 2 pm on Monday 31 March.

If you haven't received your ballot pack by mail delivery on Friday 14 March, or if you require a replacement ballot pack, it's too late for us to post one, but there is still an option available:

If you are unable to:
please don't contact the TEC now. We will send you a letter after the election, you can advise of us your valid excuse then.
With the support of the Council, the TEC will provide an Impartial Assisted Voting service for any elector who needs assistance when completing their ballot papers.
