As only one candidate has nominated for the single vacancy, no ballot is required, and the returning officer has formally declared Anthony Richards duly elected to fill the vacant office of councillor on the Dorset Council.

In accordance with section 274 of the Local Government Act 1993, the certificate of election will be issued on closing day Monday 22 September 2025.
