The Tasmanian Electoral Commission administers two public funding schemes for House of Assembly elections. This funding is available to eligible registered parties, candidates, and House of Assembly members. Public funding is not available to any electoral participants in local government or Legislative Council elections.
Funding for House of Assembly elections will come into effect on 1 July 2025 with the introduction of the Electoral Disclosure and Funding Act 2023.
