Disclosure and funding

Making a financial disclosure

Electoral participants with obligations under the Electoral Disclosure and Funding Act 2023 are required to disclose political donations and electoral expenditure with the Tasmanian Electoral Commission. Electoral participants are parties, members, candidates, associated entities, third-party campaigners and significant political donors.

Once a disclosure is made to the Tasmanian Electoral Commission, the Commission will publish each disclosure to its website.

Reportable political donation disclosures

The disclosure of reportable political donations (made or received) is made monthly throughout the year, and within 7 days during election campaign periods for both House of Assembly and Legislative Council elections.
